REQUIREMENTS

How fast does my internet need to be?
High-speed DSL or Cable is required. The minimum bandwidth for a single call is approximately 100kbps in both the upload and download directions. If you are unsure, you will be able to perform a complimentary speed test as part of our web quote (link)

Do I need a router
Yes. The majority of router brands will work with our service, however some do not. Our web quote (link) can determine if your router is appropriate.
EQUIPMENT

What equipment is required?
Any universal (non-proprietary) SIP compatible device can be used. This includes our supported Digtial Office or IP Phones (link) and ATA Devices(link) in addition to those from other reputable manufacturers such as Counterpath (Softphones), Linksys, Cisco, Polycom & Nortel.

Can I use a Traditional PBX Office Phone?
No. Traditional PBX Office Phones will only work with their respective PBX systems.

What is a Digital Office or IP Phone?
Digtial Office or IP Phones (link) look like typical office phones, except they plug directly into your internet router instead of a phone jack. These phones are highly recommended since they are configured for all features available on our system.

What is an ATA Device?
ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) Devices(link) allow standard telephones to use VoIP by connecting them to the internet via a router. These devices are most commonly used in home offices, since the number of features are limited.

What is a Softphone?
A Softphones(link) is a computer program which allows you to make and receive calls using VoIP. While many softphones exist we only recommend those from Counterpath. Softphones do require your internet and computer to always be on and a good quality USB headset. As a 3rd party application, we cannot provide Technical Support.

Will Skype Equipment work with your service?
No. Skype uses proprietary technology different than universal SIP standards.

Can I use equipment not sold on this site?
Yes. However, as per our agreement with our manufacturers, we can only provide Technical Support for products purchased from us. To verify whether other equipment will work, please check it meets our equipment(link) standards.
BILLING

Do I have to sign a contract?
No. However, discounts are available if you choose to do so.

What form of payment is accepted?
A credit card (Visa, Mastercard) is required for our service. Once activated, payment options such as electronic invoices can be explored.

MISCELLANEOUS

Can I take my existing phone number with me?
Yes. Your phone number is your property. However, some VoIP providers make customers sign an agreements not allowing them to do so.

Can I be reached when I’m away on vacation?
Yes. If you are planning to be away from the office, we can forward calls to your cell phone.

Do you guys offer internet service?
No. We suggest checking comparative quality and rates from all Cable and DSL internet providers in your area.
